Breast Lift
You can achieve an aesthetic appearance with the Breast lift method. With significant variation in shape, size, and appearance, breasts express women’s individuality. Therefore, changes in the breasts may not be satisfactory and may make women feel that they have lost some of their youthful vitality.
Like other body parts, breasts also change due to genetics, aging, pregnancy, breastfeeding, weight gain and loss, and hormonal fluctuations. Breasts that were once firm and shaped often begin to stretch and sag. It takes on a saggy or heavy appearance. Breast lift helps you achieve better and more shaped breasts.
Who are the Ideal Candidates for Breast Lift?
You must be healthy for a breast lift. First, you should know that if you’re a patient with enough breast tissue, even if your breasts are saggy, it’s enough to remove the excess skin to lift your breast. In addition, the result will be more effective and natural in a filling process to reshape your breast while maintaining the same texture. In general, take a look at the ideal candidates for breast lifts:
- Saggy breasts with varying degrees of ptosis
- Saggy skin
- Less or more breast tissue and no beautiful cleavage
- Protruding nipples.
- Breasts with pseudoptosis features (i.e., small saggy breasts with no breast tissue or apparent cleavage)
Breast Lift Procedure
Typically, breast lift steps consist of:
Consultation and preparation
You will have a detailed interview with our surgeon. In addition to the evaluation at the first consultation, you should inform the doctor about your lifestyle, diet, drugs, or whether you have had surgery before. The most important thing is that you will have to quit smoking at least three weeks before the procedure, so if you smoke, you should inform our specialist. The more details you provide, the easier it will be to implement the surgical plan to avoid all possible risks.
Anesthesia
You will receive anesthesia before the breast lift procedure. You will also need to have some tests done before the surgery and participate in the evaluation with the anesthesiologist.
Breast lift incision
The first step is to make an incision, and this is the most important of the surgery. Follow the most common techniques:
- Circular : The surgeon makes this incision around the areola of the nipple.
- Anchorage : The doctor makes this incision around the areola, vertically up to the breast crease, and horizontally along the crease.
- Fold : The specialist makes an incision around the nipple and vertically up to the breast crease.
Our surgeon will determine and recommend the best incision method for each case, considering the breast skin’s size, shape, and elasticity.
Lifting and reshaping
After the incision, the doctor lifts and reshapes the underlying breast tissue. Increases firmness by removing excess skin from the nipple or under the breast. Our professional will reposition your nipples, or the doctor will resize the areola of your nipple to fit your new breast shape.
Suturing the incisions
The specialist closes the incisions with skin-adhesive strips or stitches. The lines are permanent but will fade significantly over time. After the process, you can go home on the same day as our doctor ordered.
Recovery After Breast Lift
- It would be best to start treating your breasts with ice packs immediately after lift surgery. You may also need to wear something similar to a sports bra for a while. You may have thin bands in your stitches, and you should remove them according to our doctor’s advice.
- In case of leakage and bleeding, the drains the doctor placed in the chest will stay with you for about two days.
- It is also customary to have swelling and pain in your breasts for a while. You should also avoid heavy sports for a time. After 8 to 12 weeks, your breasts begin to take their original shape. Forcing anything, lifting weights, and having sex are some things you should avoid for some time after surgery.
- Although not very common, the infection may develop after lift surgery. It would be best if you did regular medical check-ups to control conditions that may occur in the chest. You can solve such problems with the control of our doctor and careful examinations. The more cautious you’re and follow the doctor’s recommendations, the less likely you will see these problems.
Breast Lift Results
You will notice a significant difference in the shape and position of your breasts immediately after the procedure. You may continue to see a change in the appearance of your breasts as the swelling decreases and your breasts settle into their new position. It may take up to a year to see Breast Lift results.
Although the scars of lift surgery are permanent, they will turn into fine white lines over time. Suppose you become pregnant after having a breast lift. In that case, it is essential to remember that the effects of pregnancy and breastfeeding can compromise results, causing your breasts to sag and remodel. Although a breast lift cannot stop the aging process, it is a permanent solution.
